Project 1: RAhelp.org: An Online Self-management Program for Adults with Rheumatoid Arthritis
Does arthritis pain get in the way of your everyday life? MARRTC’s online self-management project uses proven programs to show you ways to cope with pain and the ups and downs of rheumatoid arthritis. You will participate in ten online lessons and receive weekly support calls from an experienced arthritis educator. You will also be able to interact with other people with RA in a secure Web site. If you are 18 or over, and can turn on a computer, this easy, convenient, and free project could help you improve your quality of life. Click here for more information.
Project 3: Worksite Vocational Rehabilitation Intervention to Improve Employment Outcomes for Persons with Arthritis
This project seeks to find how people with arthritis can retain their jobs longer and relieve arthritis-related problems at the workplace. Researchers will study whether improving education about arthritis self-management and intervention by occupational therapists at the workplace would improve employment outcomes for people with arthritic conditions. Outcomes will be measured in terms of long-term job retention, job satisfaction, hours worked per week, personal income, public assistance received and overall health status.

Project 5 - Course 2: "Arthritis Treatments: Methods for Evaluating Information"
A Free Online Course
Participants will learn to critically review research methods and statistical aspects of studies. The course will also aid in developing skills for individuals interested in becoming an investigator or who wish to participate in referring research articles. Individuals who participate in disability research as consumers and health care providers interested in research methodology will find this course helpful.
